Difficult times

Haven't you ever wandered off the trail a bit in life? Have you ever suddenly looked up and thought "how'd I get here?" May be that is what we're supposed to do once in a while. Pehaps that little snap-to we get is like cold water in our face, waking us up from a thoughtless existence into a new more viberant one. I'm just saying, God has a way of touching our hearts at really interesting times. So what are you going to do when He reaches out to touch you? Are you going to shake it off and just keep going? Or, are you going to take that opportunity to do something positive for Him? Life is never boring, we always have important things to do - it's just that many times it's not what we deem important. What we have to do is look with God's eyes. What is it that is important to the Lord? Instead of trying to be the hero of our company, perhaps being the hero of our family should be our desire. Afterall, heros come and go but a father is forever.

Refreshing needed

Hello Evryone,

Seems like the Dog- days of summer are upon us. I coiuld really use some refreshing. It seems that today i have been really tired and it also seems like I have been in prayer throughout the day. Maybe God knows that I need to be close to him at this time. I thank you'all for praying for me and my family as we are for yours. Sorry i didn't get out to see any of you this week. Schedule has been alittle hectic. It seems like Sunday really come along fast when I'am preparing for sermons, but it seems to be none- too quick to see your smiling faces and warm hearts. May the refreshing of the sweet Holy Spirit be upon us all.

I trust everyone having a great week. I think I have tried to contact each of you ( by phone or coming by) during the last few weeks. I just want to have some kind of contact other that on Sunday mornings with you guys, since I do not live in the community.

Amber has done a great job with this and we need to take advantage of it.

the Daily Devotional is great. It takes you right to the upperroom website for that day's devotional. You can do this in as little as five minutes. I think we can all make five minutes in our busy schedules.

there is also a link for reading list. this takes you to a link with a schedule to read the entire Bible in a year.

The Joys and concerns is great. this is were we can list or joys and our prayers for others.

Most church's have some type of newletter each week. I think we can use this website for our newsletter. Let's all get on board with this and make it a priority in our week. I know it will be a blessing to us.
